Continuum of Care
Open doors Homeless Coalition is the Collaborative Applicant for the HUD Continuum of Care funding.
The Continuum of Care is an all-year-long collaborative planning process to create and implement solutions to homelessness. Over 50 member agencies and concerned citizens gather together monthly to highlight programs that work, discuss gaps in the system, work on committee projects and network with each other. The group meets the third Thursday of every month except December from 10:30-12:00 in the Regions Banquet Room of the Knight Nonprofit Center, 11975 Seaway Road, Gulfport, MS, 39503.
Annually, Open Doors Homeless Coalition requests proposals from community-based agencies for housing and services programs to be rated, ranked, and prioritized to be included in the community’s grant proposal to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to request funding for local community programs.
